| We DO NOT take
reservations. But, for motor homes,
trailers, pop-ups and truck campers, give us
a call before your departure and we will let
you know if we have a site available for
you! |
| From about the last
week of June through Labor Day, we are
normally full by Thursday evening. It would
be best to get here Thursday morning to make
sure you have a spot for the weekend! |
| A few spots normally
open up Friday or Saturday morning. |
| The best time to
come is Sunday - Wednesday. We start to get
very busy on Thursdays! |
| We cannot
accommodate groups because we are not a very
large area. |
| If you have a
fold-up table, please bring it! When we have
busy weekends it is hard for us to
accommodate a picnic table for everyone! |
| Bring an extra
extension cord, just in case you are not set
up adjacent to an electric pole. |
| We are adjacent to a
13 mile bike path, so if you have bicycles,
bring them! It is a beautiful ride. |
| We have camping on
both the lake side and the bay side (wooded
area). |
| Camping on the lake
side is on the beach. It is open camping,
meaning there are no designated sites. We
have water and electric along the beach
road. The closer you get to the water, the
further you get from the utilities. We do
not allow pets on the lake side. We do have
a dump station on the lake side. |
| Our bay side
campground is a wooded area, with
designated, numbered sites. Many include
cement pads with water, electric, sewage and
cable TV. This is primarily where our motor
homes, trailers, and truck campers stay. We
have areas for tents and pop ups in our
wooded area as well! We do allow pets on our
bay side, as long as you keep them on a
leash and clean up after them. |
| We don't have
grills, but we do have fire rings. You can
bring a rack to cook on, or we sell racks in
the store that fit perfectly on top of the
fire ring! |
| We do have a no
campfire zone on the beach. As long as you
are not camping in the "No campfire zone"
then you are allowed to have a campfire, but
it must be contained in the fire ring. |
| The beach gets very
windy at times to make sure you have sturdy
tent stakes that will keep your tent down!

| If we don't answer
the phone, try again! It means we are either
on the other line with a customer or
handling a customer in the office! |
| We do sell firewood
for $5.00. If you bring your own there are
no pallets or wood with nails allowed. |
| Our showers take
quarters. It is 25 cents for 5 minutes of
hot water. We charge for showers to limit
those who love long showers. |
| We do not have a
boat launch, but there are many inside the
state park! The nearest one is 1 mile away. |
| There is no fishing
allowed on our beach because of children in
the water! |
| Alcoholic beverages
are allowed, but please NO glass bottles! |
